Accurascale has announced a second production run of their OO gauge Mark 1 56ft 11ā non-gangway suburban coaches in BR Maroon livery. This follows high demand from model makers for these models.
These coaches were part of the 'Transporting Britain' range and were commonly used in East Anglian commuter traffic, as well as in other regions including the Eastern, Western, Midland and Scottish areas.
The models feature a highly detailed, die-cast metal chassis with a plastic body, and accurate BREL BR1 bogies. They also include a full lighting package, including magnetically controlled interior lighting, and all bogie pick-ups. The 'Stay-Alive' super-capacitor bank ensures flicker-free lighting.
The models are available in a variety of liveries, including the Midland Region BS, C, S and SO in Maroon, without and with lining, as well as the Scottish Region BS, C and S in Maroon, all lined.
The second production run of the coaches is due for delivery in Q1 2025, with a price of £64.95 each.
