Accurascale is releasing a new set of five PTA-BSc South Wales Grey Wagons in various liveries. These models represent British Rail Blue (TOPS) era wagons and come in a range of liveries, including British Steel, Yeoman, and ARC. The wagons were originally built in the 1970s by Redpath Dorman Long for British Steel and were used for transporting iron ore before being used on other services, including Mendip stone trains.
Each wagon in the set has individual running numbers and decoration, and the models feature a range of details, including etched metal factory fitted detailing, extra fine factory fitted detail plastic parts, and extra fine factory fitted pipework. The wagons also feature BSC Axle Motion bogies, blackened RP25.110 profile wheelsets, and sprung metal buffers. The models are designed to be used on OO gauge track with a minimum radius of 2 curves.
The new set includes four different liveries: British Steel, Yeoman, ARC, and a re-run of the famous Port Talbot-Llanwern circuit. The models are designed to be highly detailed and accurate, with individual lettering, logos, and codes from real wagons for authenticity.
