Accurascale has released a new set of OO gauge model wagons, featuring five PTA-BSc Consett/Teesside (Pre-TOPS) wagons in various liveries. The models depict the distinctive British Steel livery and are designed to represent the wagons during the British Rail Blue era.
The PTA wagons were built by Redpath Dorman Long in 1972 for transporting iron ore, and were later acquired by Procor and used for transporting Mendip stone. The models feature accurate details, including etched metal factory fitted detailing and extra fine factory fitted plastic parts.
The set includes four different liveries: British Steel, Yeoman, ARC, and Mendip stone, with two of the liveries being new to the Accurascale range. The models feature BSC 'Axle Motion' bogies and blackened RP25.110 profile wheelsets. Each wagon has individual running numbers and decoration, and includes a fitted, flashing red tail light.
The models are designed for OO gauge/1:76.2 scale and have a recommended minimum radius of 2 curves. They feature NEM standard coupler pockets with kinematic close coupling functionality, and NEM narrow tension lock couplers are provided for outer vehicles, with knuckle couplers for inner vehicles. The models also include sprung metal buffers and individual lettering, logos and codes for authenticity.
Accurascale's PTA-BSc Consett/Teesside wagons are available in packs of five, with each pack featuring a unique set of running numbers and decoration.
