Accurascale has released a new OO Gauge model of the BR Mk.2c (large toilet window) TSO 5520 Provincial in unbranded form. This model is part of a series of highly-detailed models that accurately represent the British Rail Sectorisation era.
Key features of the model include a fully detailed underframe with numerous separate parts, accurate differences between versions, and the most accurate B4 bogies ever produced, which can be re-gauged to EM or P4 gauges. The model also features blackened RP25.110 profile wheel-sets, different buffers for retracted and non-retracted positions, and accurate interiors with characteristic 'winged' headrests.
The model also includes a full lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, 'stay-alive' capacitors in all coaches, and directional lighting with DC or DCC control. The model is designed to be easy to convert to Kadee-compatiable knuckle couplers.
The Phase I Mk.2c coaches were initially allocated to the London Midland Region, but were later found on every region except the Southern. Accurascale is offering a comprehensive selection of the Mk.2c coaches in various authentic liveries, including BR Blue/Grey, Network SouthEast, InterCity, and TransPennine stock, as well as a striking South Wales & West stock featuring distinctive dark blue and maroon liveries.
The model is suitable for OO Gauge / 1:76.2 Scale layouts on 16.5mm track and has a minimum radius of 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track). The coach length is 269mm.
