Accurascale has released a new range of OO gauge models of the BR Mk.2c (large toilet window) BFK 17120 Network SouthEast with West of England route branding, as part of their comprehensive selection of British Rail Sectorisation-era stock.
The model features highly-detailed exterior and interior parts, including etched metal and high-fidelity plastic components, prism-free glazing, and fully-detailed underframes. The coaches are available in a range of liveries, including BR Blue/Grey, Network SouthEast, InterCity, and TransPennine stock, as well as a striking South Wales & West livery.
The model is designed to be highly accurate and features a range of detailed parts, including handrails, brake/steam heat pipes, ETH cabling and sockets, footsteps, and dummy drophead knuckle couplers. The underframe is fully-detailed, with numerous separate parts, pipe runs, and accurate differences between versions.
The model is designed to be compatible with 16.5mm track and has a minimum radius of 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track). The coaches are available in a range of eras, from the 1980s to the early 2000s, and can be used to recreate a variety of scenarios.
The model features a range of lighting options, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, 'stay-alive' capacitors, and directional lighting with DC or DCC control. The models are also designed to be easy to convert to Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers.
The Accurascale Mk.2c coaches are a highly detailed and accurate representation of the real-life coaches, and are a welcome addition to the range of British Rail stock available to modellers.
