Accurascale's OO Gauge Mk.2c Coaches in BR Blue/Grey

Accurascale's latest release features highly-detailed OO Gauge Mk.2c coaches in BR Blue/Grey livery, specifically the large toilet window variant. These models are highly accurate and feature detailed exterior rivet work, separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts, and prism-free glazing.

The coaches are designed to represent the period of British Rail Blue, with accurate underframes, bogies, and wheel-sets. The models also feature correct height NEM standard coupling sockets and come with a full lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting and 'stay-alive' capacitors.

The Phase I Mk.2c coaches were initially allocated to the London Midland Region but later appeared on every region except the Southern. Accurascale's release caters to a range of liveries, including Network SouthEast, InterCity, and TransPennine stock, as well as a unique South Wales & West livery.

The model's interior features accurate details, including 'winged' headrests and separate metal interior handrails. The coaches also come with easy conversion to Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers and a minimum radius of 438mm.

Accurascale's Mk.2c coaches are an excellent addition to any model railway layout, particularly for those with an interest in the 1980s and 1990s era of British Rail. With over 20 coaches available across various formats, liveries, and eras, modellers have a wealth of options to create realistic and authentic rake formations behind popular Accurascale locomotives.

The Mk.2c coaches were a significant part of British Rail's fleet, with many coaches being leased to the South Wales & West franchise in the 1990s. The Accurascale models offer a detailed and accurate representation of these coaches, making them a valuable addition to any model railway.
