Accurascale's BR Mk.2c (Large Toilet Window) TSO M5532 in Blue/Grey with InterCity livery has been released. This OO gauge model is part of a comprehensive range of Mk.2b and Mk.2c coaches.
The model features highly-detailed exterior and interior parts, including etched metal and high-fidelity plastic components, detailed underframes, and accurate B4 bogies with provision for re-gauging. The coach has a fully-detailed interior with characteristic 'winged' headrests and separate metal interior handrails. Lighting options include magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, stay-alive capacitors, and directional lighting.
The Phase I Mk.2c retains the basic window layout of the Mk.2b but features a large toilet window and various roof vent configurations. Accurascale has previously released Phase II variants, which were exclusively fitted with 'Roe-Vac' vents and smaller 'air-con' style toilet windows.
The Mk.2c coaches were initially allocated to the London Midland Region but were later found on every region except the Southern. They were used on various services, including cross-country, TransPennine, and Network SouthEast.
Accurascale has released a range of Mk.2b and Mk.2c coaches in various liveries, including Network SouthEast, InterCity, and TransPennine stock. The models are available in a range of formats, including OO gauge, and are suitable for use with Accurascale locomotives such as the Class 50, 31, and 37.
The models are designed to be highly detailed and accurate, with features such as fully-detailed interiors, working interior lighting, and close-coupling mechanisms. The coaches are part of a broad selection of over 20 models, offering excellent opportunities for modellers to expand existing rakes or build new formations.
