History

There were two wagons in this livery. They wore DRS colours from 2010 to 2011 and worked on a flow from Shap - Salford alongside the Fastline livery versions.

Accurascale HYA Bogie Hopper Wagon – Direct Rail Services (DRS) Twin Pack

The limited edition “Rails of Sheffield” pack, product code ACC260xDRS1, represents the period of railway rebuilding. It is supplied exclusively through Rails of Sheffield and contains two OO gauge (1:76.2) hopper wagons finished in DRS direct rail services livery. Each wagon carries its own running number and authentic decoration, matching the real‑world examples that operated in DRS colours between 2010 and 2011 on the Shap‑Salford flow.

Both wagons are modelled to a length of 240 mm over buffers and weigh approximately 160 g each. They feature NEM standard coupler pockets with kinematic close‑coupling, narrow tension‑lock couplers at the correct height, sprung buffers and dummy screw‑link couplers. The TF25 low‑track‑force bogies are highly detailed, with brake blocks in line with the wheels, separate brake shoes and a brake adjuster. Wheelsets are blackened RP25.110 profile, 14.4 mm back‑to‑back and 26 mm over the pinpoints.

The models include etched metal factory‑fitted detailing and extra‑fine plastic parts such as air pipes, brake hand‑wheel, levers and hopper operating brackets. Individual lettering, logos and codes are reproduced from the original wagons for added authenticity. The pack carries the European Community reference numbers 37 70 6791 014‑3 and 37 70 6791 016‑8.
