Accurascale has released a twin-pack of OO gauge model nuclear flask carriers in the livery of Direct Rail Services. The wagons are based on the KUA design, built by Bombardier/Prorail at their Wakefield facility in 1998. The model features a highly detailed and accurate scale representation of the real-life wagons, which were used to transport spent nuclear fuel from Royal Navy submarines to Sellafield for disposal.

The wagons are designed to be used with Class 37/6 locomotives, which are also available to order. Key features of the model include factory-fitted detail parts, etched metal details, and pipework. The model also features sprung metal buffers and blackened metal wheels on metal axles. The wagons are designed for easy conversion to EM and P4 gauges.

Each wagon measures 325mm in length, buffer to buffer, with the pair of wagons measuring 650mm in total. The model is designed to be used on a minimum radius curve of 2.
