Accurascale has announced a second production run of their OO gauge Mark 1 56ft 11" non-gangway suburban coaches in Maroon livery. These coaches were part of the 'Transporting Britain' range and were commonly used on commuter services in and out of London, as well as in other regions.

The coaches are highly detailed, featuring accurate BREL BR1 bogies, blackened RP25-110 profile wheels, and scale width wire handrails. They also have a fully detailed, die cast under-frame with vacuum cylinders, battery boxes, dynamo, and piping. The models are equipped with a full lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, all bogie pick-ups, and a 'stay-alive' super-capacitor bank for flicker-free lighting.

The Maroon livery was introduced in the late 1950s and was used on the Eastern, Midland, and Scottish regions. The livery was applied to the 57' Mk.1 non-gangway stock, which was used in suburban services. The coaches had a plain maroon livery, with some regional variations in lining specifications.

Accurascale's model of the BR Mk1 57' non-gangway coach in Maroon livery is part of their 'Transporting Britain' range. The model features a highly detailed interior, including seating, luggage racks, and framed artworks. The models are available in a variety of liveries, including the Midland Region BS, C, S, and SO, with and without lining, as well as the Scottish Region BS, C, and S, all lined.

Production of the Maroon coaches is expected to begin shortly, with delivery scheduled for Q1 2025. The price of the model is £64.95 each, the same as the first production run.
