Modelu has announced further releases in an expanding selection of full‑coloured OO gauge railway figures, including locomotive crews, goods yard staff and contemporary road workers.
Included in this announcement is a set of generic locomotive crews crafted to fit a wide variety of steam and diesel engines. Produced in complete colour, the figures need no painting and can be fitted straight out of the packet.
For steam‑era enthusiasts, the collection offers drivers and firemen posed to suit many locomotive cabs, rather than a single prototype. Diesel‑era crews are also available – drivers and secondmen wearing appropriate attire for early, late and modern British Rail periods – allowing them to be used on layouts depicting different eras.
The locomotive crew range is offered in seven packs:
New releases also extend the roster of railway staff with several goods yard figures, perfect for depots, platforms, warehouses and loading bays. They depict everyday railway activity such as checking consignments, handling parcels and sacks, and moving milk churns across the yard.
Also announced is a set of modern road workers, ideal for contemporary layouts featuring roadworks, utility maintenance or construction scenes. The figures include workers using a pneumatic drill and tamper, as well as others equipped with wheelbarrows and shovels.
Finally, just in time for summer holiday trips to our favourite destinations, Modelu has confirmed that full‑coloured 3D printed traffic cones will arrive next month, together with extra goods cartage accessories to further enrich goods yard scenes.
