The Uckfield Model Railway Club will be hosting its annual Open Day on Saturday, 11th April 2026, at The Luxford Centre in Uckfield, East Sussex. The event will take place between 10am and 4pm, with admission charged at £2 for adults and free for accompanied children under 16.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see a variety of layouts, including those recently built or under construction, some of which will be on public display for the first time. A selection of second-hand model railway items will be available for purchase from A@N models, and a members' bring and buy stand will also be in operation.
In addition to the layouts and trade stands, members will be on hand to demonstrate their skills and answer any questions visitors may have. The informal demonstrations will provide a chance to see model railways being worked on in a relaxed environment.
Refreshments will be available, and a complimentary cup of tea or coffee is included in the admission price. Free parking is available on site at The Luxford Centre.
This event is a great opportunity for model railway enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to meet the members of the Uckfield Model Railway Club and learn more about their interests and activities. The club meets weekly at their premises in Uckfield, where they have layouts in various scales, including N, O, OO, and P4.
