Leicester Museums Technology Association is hosting a Railway Gala Day with Model Railways at the Abbey Pumping Station Museum in Leicester. The event will take place on 6th June 2026 from 11.00am to 4.30pm.
During the event, the 2 gauge railway will be in operation with all available locomotives in service. Admission to the site itself is free, however there will be a small charge of £1 per person for train rides. Visitors can park their cars in the National Space Centre car park, which is situated next door to the Abbey Pumping Station Museum.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day. A donation box will be located in the exhibition area for any visitors who wish to make a contribution to the museum.
