A model railway exhibition is to be held at The Middleton Railway in Leeds on 4th and 5th July 2026.

The event is organised by the Middleton Railway Trust, with all proceeds going to support the trust. The exhibition will take place at The Middleton Railway, The Station, Moor Road, Hunslet, Leeds, LS10 2JQ.

Visitors will have the opportunity to admire models set amongst the real thing in the Engine House, as well as travel on a full-size steam train. A footplate experience will also be available, allowing visitors to drive a full-size locomotive, subject to a suggested donation of £5 and certain age restrictions.

The exhibition and train ride are accessible to visitors with disabilities, except for the footplate experience. Admission, which covers the exhibition and unlimited train rides, will cost £9 for adults and £4 for children.

The event is expected to feature up to 16 layouts in a variety of scales, including OO, 0.165mm and 009. Traders will be in attendance, offering a range of model railway products and services.

In addition to the model railway displays, the event will also feature Lego, vintage Tri-ang and Tri-ang Hornby operating layouts. The exhibition is suitable for all the family, with nearby attractions including Middleton Woods and Park, the Tulip Retail Park and the White Rose Shopping Centre.
