Model Railway Exhibition at ACL Brentwood Set to Delight
The Mid Essex Model Railway Club is thrilled to announce its Annual Model Railway Exhibition, taking place on Saturday 20th September 2025 at the ACL Brentwood (Bishops Hill College), Brentwood. The event promises to be an exciting showcase of model railways, offering a glimpse into the world of railway modelling.
Visitors will be treated to 17 impressive model railway layouts, each one unique and showcasing different scales and themes. Some of the layouts have been showcased before, while others will be making their debut in Essex, providing something for everyone to enjoy. The layouts confirmed include Bramble (N), Columbia Wharf (EM), Daconby Town (3mm), Dawcot (00 MEMRC Pay n Play), Durston (00), Fenwick (Modern Image 00), Framplingham (Modern Image 00), Goldhanger (0), Kew Bridge (00 trams), Knype Bridge (Modern Image 0), Mynydd y Ddraig (009), Ripple Lane (modern Image 0), Scrubbs Lane Yard (009), Stockerston (modern Image 00), St. Peters Square (00), The Victory (00), Tigley Yard (0), and Oakthorpe Road (00).
In addition to the model railway layouts, the exhibition will feature a range of traders selling a variety of model railway products and accessories. The traders confirmed include Bill Bourne (Railway Roundabout), Book Law Publications, B17 Steam Locomotive Trust, Cavalex Models, H & A Models, Kitmaster Collectors Club, Make Your Mark Models, Michael Land (paintings), Phoenix Precision Paints (for Pre Order Collection), and Plus Daughters. The Mid Essex MRC's Previously Enjoyed stall, EMGS, will also be in attendance, offering second-hand model railway items for sale.
The exhibition will also feature a range of other activities, including modelling demonstrations, a club information stand, and refreshments available on site. Visitors will also be able to park their cars on site, with some on-street parking available nearby. The venue is approximately 15 minutes' walk from Shenfield Railway Station, which offers easy access via the Elizabeth Line and Great Eastern Mainline.
