The Leigh Festival of Model Railways & Transport Modelling will take place at the Leigh Leisure Centre, Atherton, on the weekend of 12th and 13th September 2026. This annual event, organised by the Leigh Model Railway Society, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a display of model railways and transport modelling.
The festival will feature a variety of layouts, demonstrations, and exhibits, including Lego, boats, and Scalextric. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle with prizes donated by leading model manufacturers Hornby, Bachmann, and local model shop Sawyer Models.
