A Model Railway Exhibition is being held at the Kent & East Sussex Railway, Tenterden, on Sunday 22 August 2026.
The event will take place from 10am to 5pm and will feature five unique model railway layouts within a large on-site marquee. Admission to the exhibition is priced at £5 for adults, although this cost is waived for those holding any valid Kent and East Sussex Railway travel ticket.
Accompanied children are admitted free of charge. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of detailed and imaginative layouts, all brought together by passionate modellers.
Support for the event is being provided by local traders, who will be selling their wares in the marquee. In addition to the model railway layouts, visitors will also be able to drive a Class 08 shunter in the station sidings for a fee of £10.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, and children's activities will be provided to keep younger visitors entertained.
