The Ipswich Transport and Model Festival will take place on 20 June 2026 at the Ipswich Transport Museum in Ipswich. The event, hosted by the Ipswich Transport Museum, will feature a range of model railway and transport-related attractions.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore six different venues across East Ipswich, with a frequent vintage bus service running every 20-30 minutes throughout the day. The venues will include the IPMS Ipswich Plastic Model display and demonstrations, the Ipswich Railway Modellers Association Open Day, the Scograil Model Railway Exhibition, the Ipswich Model Railway Centre, the Ipswich Model Engineering Society, and the Ipswich Transport Museum itself.
The Ipswich Transport Museum will be home to over 100 one-to-one scale exhibits, as well as a G scale model railway and various visiting displays of Mamod steam, RC Trucks and model dioramas. Other attractions will include ride-on and garden railways with model steam engines, model displays, and children's activities.
Admission to the festival will be £16 per adult, with accompanied children admitted for just £2. Visitors can purchase a single ticket that allows access to all six venues, or pay on the door for individual attractions. Refreshments will be available throughout the day, and further information can be found on the Ipswich Transport Museum's Facebook page.
