The Gainsborough Model Railway Society is hosting its December Open Days at the Gainsborough Model Railway in Gainsborough from Wednesday 27 to Thursday 28 December 2026.

The event features a large O gauge model railway, loosely based on the LNER London to Leeds Central line. This impressive layout boasts over 180 locomotives and over 400 items of rolling stock, all running on more than half a mile of track. It is one of the largest O gauge model railways in the country.
