How to Model Dead Reeds or Rushes

If you are modelling late summer through the winter/early spring then you will often see stands of dry dead reeds or rushes along the edge of waterways.

These are easily modelled using any long grass product but I used Busch HO 7375. It is clumped together so it is very easy to put in place. It is a bit long for most scales so I normally cut it down to size and use both the tops and bottoms of each clump.
