The DCC Autotrain has been specially created for this model, with sound optimised for the models' speaker enclosure.

Sounds include complete start-up sequences, gone, and five 'clickety-click' levels depending on speed.

Locomotive functions include sound, fade in/out, coal shovelling with firebox glow, Injector, Ejector, Short Whistle, Long + Short Whistle, Start Sequence, Safety Valve, and "Right away, Mister Mathews".

Coach functions include lights, sound fade in/out, start sequence, gone and Station Halt stop.

Running sounds feature load & speed dependent Exhaust Beats, Cylinder Drain at start, Coasting with vacuum pump, Auto Brake on throttle reduction, Brake Squeal on coming to rest, Auto background 'chatter' while stationary.
