Coal Sacks

Kit includes 48 coal sacks. Initially coal was transported in 12 ton wagons to railway yards. Coal merchants then transferred it to heavy duty 1 cwt sacks for supply to customers. The kit also includes weights and scales; supplied with pre-coloured parts although painting and/or weathering can add realism (See the Pecoscene Weathering Powder range PS-360 - 365); glue is required to complete this model.

Ratio Coal Sacks is a 00/HO scale building and accessory kit (Manufacturer Part Number 526) from the Ratio 00 range. The kit supplies 48 heavy‑duty 1 cwt coal sacks, together with a set of weights and scales intended to represent the historic method of handling coal that was originally moved in 12‑ton wagons to railway yards before being transferred to sacks for retail distribution.

All components are supplied pre‑coloured, but modelers may apply additional paint or weathering – for example using the Pecoscene Weathering Powder range (PS‑360 to PS‑365) – to enhance realism. Glue is required to complete the assembly.
