Rails aim to fill the need for niche products, which simply would not justify a large production run. As they are produced in limited quantities, these vans are priced slightly higher than mass produced items, however, we feel the price reflects fantastic value for such distinctive models.
A tremendous amount of research and development has been put into this project to ensure accuracy and true replication has been achieved.
Special commissions are usually only available new from the commissioning organisation, and may well have sold out on pre-order before they even end up listed here! But you may be able to find used items on marketplace or auction websites.

Rails GWR Iron Mink (Early Condition) Wagon No.58147 is a limited‑edition model released by the Rails of Sheffield range. It carries the manufacturer part number GWV6‑010 and represents the era of the Big Four railway companies – LNER, LMS, GWR and SR. The model is exclusive to Rails and is identified as No.58147.
The wagon is produced in the United Kingdom using advanced manufacturing techniques. It incorporates an ultra‑high‑resolution, aeronautical‑grade polyurethane material that is described as having a design life of more than 25 years. The build process employs the latest light technology, allowing flexibility for creating variant versions while maintaining high detail.
Production is intentionally low‑volume to cater to niche collectors, resulting in a price that is modestly higher than mass‑produced items. Rails states that extensive research and development have been undertaken to achieve accurate replication of the original vehicle.
