Manufacturer description

This is the first release of the newly tooled Ford Transit MkI cab with its characteristic Beavertail rear body. This type of recovery truck operated until around 1980. During that time, it was the chosen rescue truck used by both the RAC and AA on the roads of Britain. Wearing the authentic RAC livery, use it on your own 1960s - 1980s diorama.

This is the first release of a newly tooled Ford Transit MkI cab featuring its characteristic beavertail rear body. The model represents a recovery truck that operated in Britain until around 1980 and was the preferred rescue vehicle of both the RAC and the AA.

It is supplied in authentic British Rail Blue (pre‑TOPS) livery and is suitable for inclusion in dioramas set between the 1960s and 1980s.
