1:76 scale Commer Walk Thru Van lends itself very well as a London Fire Brigade auxiliary vehicle and brings a new usage different from the two British Railways models that launched the series. This latest model represents London Fire Brigade's 'C' Division Van based at Shoreditch, one of five similar vans delivered to the Brigade in 1968. In the signature bright red Fire Brigade colour scheme with black trim and black interior, the model is registered SLK 63F from that year.
London Fire Brigade operated several Commer Walk Thru Vans as Division Vans. They were used for transporting equipment to and from stores, workshops and neighbouring divisions, as well as conveying additional equipment such as breathing apparatus, foam and floodlights to incidents where the fire engines were operating. Additional decoration on our replica includes the Brigade crest on the side panels of the van with gold/black dropped shadow lettering. A practical feature on our Commer is the addition of a small rectangular 'window' above the front wheel on both sides, incorporated into many similar vehicles so that the driver could see the pavement edge when parking.

Oxford Diecast Commer Walk Thru London Fire Brigade is a 1:76 scale model, supplied under manufacturer part number 76CWT003. The model depicts the London Fire Brigade ‘C’ Division auxiliary van that was based at Shoreditch and one of five similar vans delivered to the brigade in 1968. It carries the registration SLK 63F and is painted in the brigade’s bright red colour scheme with black trim, black interior, the brigade crest on the side panels and gold/black dropped‑shadow lettering.
In the real service the Commer Walk Thru vans were used by the London Fire Brigade to transport equipment between stores, workshops and neighbouring divisions, and to carry additional items such as breathing apparatus, foam and floodlights to incident sites. The replica includes a small rectangular window above the front wheel on each side, a feature fitted to many of the original vehicles to aid the driver when parking.
The period represented by this model is British Rail Blue (pre‑TOPS), and it provides an alternative usage to the two British Railways models that opened the series.
