This Bedford lorry is based on the military version of the Bedford 'O', which the vehicle manufacturer designated either OY (long wheel base) or OX (short wheel base), to be used for a wide range of tasks during WWII.
Our model, registered 69 RN 19, is as used by the Royal Navy, painted in their black blue colour scheme with black chassis and white lettering. The interior dropside planking is painted olive grey. One feature worthy of note is the double rear wheel configuration.
