Manufacturer description

For truck enthusiasts with a leaning towards farm and agricultural vehicles, our early Cattle Truck brings with it a whiff of yesteryear. It is liveried in the green and red colour scheme of Staffordshire based J Haydon & Sons of Biddulph, who were first established exactly 100 years ago in 1918. Here we see the Atkinson 8-wheel flatbed taking on the role of animal transporter, registered KWY 357. The cream lettering against the green captures the simple and minimal truck decoration of the day, almost faded in its authenticity!

Oxford Diecast Atkinson Cattle Truck – J Haydon & Sons

Manufacturer part number 76ATKL004 represents a model of the British Railways Early Crest period. The vehicle is a die‑cast replica of an Atkinson eight‑wheel flatbed adapted for use as an animal transporter and bears the registration KWY 357.

The livery reflects the green and red colour scheme used by the Staffordshire firm J Haydon & Sons of Biddulph, which was founded on 1 January 1918, exactly one hundred years ago. The truck features cream‑coloured lettering on a green background, typical of the plain and functional decoration employed in the era.

This model is aimed at collectors with an interest in farm and agricultural vehicles, offering a historically accurate representation of a early Cattle Truck.
