The need for Austin to create uniform coloured vehicles across the country was very difficult, with local dealers adopting different styles. This led to various newsletter requesting the use of Austin Stone Grey, Austin Claret or Austin Blue. Slogans were also suggested, such as "You can depend on Austin Service" or "Express Spare Parts Delivery". Dealers were reminded that a well designed service vehicle will have a long term impact in the public. This Austin K8 is shown in the Mann Egerton livery .
