In the mid-20th century, the UK railway network was used to transport a large number of horses, mainly those travelling between race meetings but also private, circus and military horses. This example is a Bertram Mills Circus Horsebox . The Bertram Mills Circus was famous for its Christmas shows at Olympia in West London.
