Dapoil is a non-mineral oil based lubricant that has been especially formulated to lubricate and protect the delicate mechanisms of locomotives and rolling stock. Cheap lubricants can break down over time due to localised  heat and friction leaving viscous deposits that can impair or even damage delicate mechanisms. Dapoils' unique formulation will not break down and will not leave any residues protecting the mechanism long after application

Dapol only recommend Dapoil is used to lubricate their locomotives.
