Dapol Banana Van Fyffes Bauxite B881955 is an OO gauge model produced by Dapol, identified by the manufacturer part number 4F-016-121. It represents a British Railways Early Crest locomotive period, specifically a later 1950s version of the steam‑piped banana van used for transporting Caribbean bananas. The original vans were built with plywood cladding and insulated bodies to allow bananas to be shipped green and to ripen en‑route.
The model features highly detailed body moulding, profiled wheels and NEM pockets fitted with self‑centring couplings, enabling easy formation of block trains. The livery is applied accurately to reflect the historic appearance of the real‑world vehicles.
