A 21 Pin (21MTC) DCC Decoder configured for use in the Bachmann Branchline Class 90 – models produced from 2021 onwards. Configured to control the servo-motor-operated Pantograph.

This DCC decoder is designed specifically for use in Bachmann's Branchline Class 90 models produced from 2021 onwards. It is configured to control the servo-motor-operated pantograph and is a 21 Pin (21MTC) DCC decoder.

Key features of this decoder include a dual-mode DCC/DC operation, with a 1.2A continuous load and a brake button function for realistic control of braking. The decoder also includes a back EMF function and can control the servo-motor-operated pantograph.

The default functions when fitted to a Bachmann Branchline Class 90 model include F0 - direction lights on/off, F1 - cab lights (directional) on/off, F2 - brake button, F3 - day/night mode, F4 - direction lights off (non-pantograph end), F5 - direction lights off (pantograph end), and F6 - pantograph up/down.

This decoder is compatible with NMRA/DCC with 14, 28 and 128 speed steps, and can operate in short and long address modes. It can also operate in both DCC and DC modes, with DC operation being de-selectable. The motor control features include a 1.2A continuous load, variable pulse width frequency motor regulation (up to 40kHz), and motor output overload protection with back EMF (de-selectable).
